1. Bhangarh Fort
Bhangarh Fort is located in Alwar, Rajasthan. It is the most haunted place in India. Even the Archeological Society of India (ASI) has put the signboards for tourists of not being present inside the fort after sunset. There are some real haunted stories of Bhangarh Fort that are experienced by local as well as tourist people.
The story behind this haunted place is such that Tantrik Singhia fell in love with Princess Ratnavati. He tried to use magic to win the heart of the princess, but the princess got to know of his evil plans. She ordered to kill Tantrik Singhia. Before the tantrik died, he cursed the people of the fort to die and the village dwellers to remain roofless forever. Some villages in the city are roofless. Even if a roof is built, it collapses soon after.
2. Brij Raj Bhawan in Kota
Brij Raj Bhawan is a palace built in the 19th century. Later, in 1980 it got converted into a heritage hotel. It is one of the most haunted places in India as people claim that it is the home of the harmless ghosts of Major Burton. These ghosts in the palace are rumored to walk in the corridors of the palace and they slap the guards who sleep during their duties.
3. Savoy Hotel In Mussoorie:
The Savoy Hotel in Mussorrie is rumored to be haunted by the ghost of Lady Garnet Orme. She was murdered by adding strychnine in her medicine bottle. A few years later, the doctor who was curing her was also found dead in the same situation. This mysterious story has been included in many of the books including Agatha Christie’s novel – The Mysterious Affair at Styles. No one knows the fact behind this great mystery. 4. Kuldhara Village, Rajasthan
Kuldhara, a village near Jaisalmer is considered to be a deserted ghost village. The story behind this haunted place is that the village has the curse of villagers who got vanished overnight. They lived over there for over more than seven centuries. The village has been abandoned by the people since the 19th century.
The mystery of the vanishing villagers is still not known. Though a story talks of Salim Singh, then the minister of state fell in love with the beautiful daughter of the village chieftain. He threatened the villagers of huge taxes, should they fail to get him married to her. The chief of the village and the people of nearby 83 villages, decided to leave their villages. It is also said that the villagers cursed the village that no one could ever inhabit the land. As a result, no one is yet able to inhabit over there.
5. Dumas Beach, Surat
Dumas beach is a black-sand beach in Surat, Gujarat. The beach has a very pleasing climate and people often come over here to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. But if you wait till late night over here then it might be risky. People over here have reported that they hear some haunting noise of people having conversations even when they are alone on the beach. There are also missing reports of people who never come back after strolling on Dumas Beach at midnight.
